In The Spirit of Christmas

Shopping For the Holidays!

Happy Holidays! Only 4 days left until Christmas Day!  I went shopping with my mom at our favorite store "Christmas Tree Shop". It's more cost-effective to get the gift wraps and other holiday decor from the Christmas Tree Shop. So, I picked up a few things I needed and some other decorations to add to my holiday stash.

In Connecticut, we just had a few snow storms and shopping in this weather has not been easy. It snowed literally yesterday, so us living on the Northeast cannot say we aren't having a "White Christmas" this year. One of my favorite things about this time of year is the fact that it snows up north. The only downside of the snow is it can be very dangerous if we get too much.

My favourite Christmas decoration is the Nutcracker. I bought one last Christmas. I bought another one this year because they really are beautifully crafted. This year's Nutcracker addition is smaller because I got one for my nightstand. The other tall one is on my dresser.

My mom and I were out all day shopping for everyone. I'm glad I finished my shopping. I had some quality time with my mom. With me working so much in retail it not easy to spend time with the family so I have to appreciate every opportunity I get to see them.  One of the most important things about this season is about appreciation of the people in our lives. Also, it's the birth of Jesus. He is the reason that giving gifts turned into such a tradition for generations and generations to come.

Appreciate the people who do things for you! It's very important that we appreciate those people who do things for us because they didn't have to. I appreciate everyone who has ever helped me do anything.

I hope you all remember to be grateful for what you have and to be a blessing to others.

"Psalm 7:17. I will give thanks to the Lord because of his righteousness."
